Palatine Builders Supply Acquired by Dealers Wholesale
Palatine Builders Supply, Inc. (“PBS” or the “Company”) has been acquired by Dealers Wholesale (“DW”), a portfolio company of The Firefly Group. Baird Business Owner Solutions served as exclusive financial advisor to Palatine Builders Supply, Inc. on this transaction.
Based in Chicago, Illinois, Palatine Builders Supply is a distributor of hollow metal doors, wood doors, door hardware, related frames, and bathroom accessories to the Chicago Metropolitan area. The Company also provides differentiated value-add services including welding, assembly, retrofit expertise, and shipping. PBS serves contractors and subcontractors operating in the industrial and commercial end markets.
The partnership with Dealers Wholesale is expected to strengthen Palatine Builder Supply’s Midwest footprint, as well as expand their product offering to include additional door and fireplace products. Dealers Wholesale is an Indianapolis, Indiana-based distributor and installer of specialty building materials including commercial doors, frames, hardware, and electronic access control equipment serving residential and commercial markets across 20 states. DW is also the premier distributor of hearth products (fireplaces, mantels, and surrounds) in Indiana. Dealers Wholesale is owned by Indianapolis-based private equity firm The Firefly Group.
