The Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) has awarded Jim Allen, Baird Vice Chair, the William T. Nallia Educational Leadership Award. This award, which honors the outstanding achievements of leaders who have worked to enhance the quality of elementary and secondary education in Kentucky, was presented to Jim on July 24.

According to the news release, “Mr. Jim Allen has been instrumental in bridging the gap between the business community and the education sector. Through his role as Vice Chair of Baird, he has emphasized the vital connection between a robust education system and the overall success of our economy. Mr. Allen's insightful editorials in business journals and traditional media and his engagement with business groups and legislative committees have shed light on the importance of sustaining the education profession.”

Jim has led numerous initiatives to improve financial literacy. He is a board member of the SIFMA Foundation, which is committed to the advancement of financial literacy and economic education. He is also past chair of the Jefferson County Public Education Foundation, and still serves on that board. 

KASA is the largest school administrator group in Kentucky representing more than 3,200 education leaders from across the commonwealth.
