Rescott Named ‘Rising Star of Equity Research’ by Business Insider
David Rescott, Baird senior research analyst covering the Medical Technology sector, was recently named a ‘2024 Rising Star of Equity Research’ by Business Insider. The 2024 list recognizes 16 sell-side equity research analysts under 35 covering a range of sectors.
Rescott joined Baird in 2023 and covers Medical Technology. Before Baird, Rescott was at Truist Securities covering U.S. Medical Supplies & Devices. He also covered Biomedical Devices and Services at Canaccord Genuity. David received a BS in Business Administration and French from State University of New York at Geneseo and a Master of Science in Finance from Vanderbilt University.
Instead of convincing clients to follow his "buy" or "sell" calls, Rescott said he tries to educate his audience with exclusive insights that he gathers by attending medical-device conferences and talking with physicians.
"If I can offer something to somebody that's new and different, that helps them make a decision — whether they agree with me or not — if I can influence the way in which they operate in their role, that, I think, technically, is what I really care about," Rescott said.
