Baird Awards Purcell “Kids Win!” Grants to 18 Nonprofits
Grants celebrate Purcell’s legacy and commitment to education
MILWAUKEE, May 7, 2024 – Baird announced today that 18 nonprofits across the country were the recipients of the 2024 Paul Purcell “Kids Win!” Annual Baird Education Grants, totaling more than $1.6 million. The nonprofits are based in 11 cities, including Baltimore, Chicago, Charleston, Milwaukee and Seattle, among others. Funded by Baird, Baird Foundation and Baird associates, the international, employee-owned financial services firm established the Paul Purcell “Kids Win!” Annual Baird Education Grant to honor former Chairman & CEO Paul Purcell, who passed away in February 2020.
“It’s a privilege to continue Paul’s tremendous legacy by awarding these grants in his honor,” said Steve Booth, Baird Chairman & CEO. “These remarkable organizations have the power to change the trajectory of kids’ lives from early childhood through their pursuit of higher education.
