Kusy Named a ‘2023 Rising Star of Equity Research’ by Business Insider
Colleen Kusy, Baird senior research analyst covering the biotechnology sector, was recently named a ‘2023 Rising Star of Equity Research’ by Business Insider. The list recognizes 17 sell-side equity research analysts under 35 covering a range of sectors.
Kusy joined the firm in 2014 and has established herself as a leading expert in the retinal treatment space. A graduate of Villanova University with a degree in finance and French, Kusy says her language skills have allowed her to effectively communicate complex topics to people who aren’t as familiar with the space as she is. Relationship building with management teams and clients has also been one of the most essential parts of finding success.
"Being able to better understand and have access to the management team's messaging and really being in the flow amongst what investors are saying, and be a resource that people want to go to, is a really important part of the job," Kusy said.
