Girls on the Run’s Sneaker Soiree
On February 10, 2023, Baird was the presenting sponsor of the 2023 Sneaker Soiree, an annual fundraising event supporting Girls on the Run Southeastern Wisconsin, held at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee. Girls on the Run is a positive youth development program that uses fun running games and dynamic discussions to teach life skills to girls in the third through eighth grades. The Sneaker Soiree event raises needed funds that allow the organization to serve more than 2,000 girls locally.
The Valentines-inspired fundraiser featured a red-carpet sneaker contest, caricature artist, auction and a one-hour girl power program. The event was co-chaired by Katie Schoen, Director of Investor Relations at Baird Capital.

About Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one-of-a-kind. Trained volunteer coaches lead small teams through a ten-week curriculum that places an emphasis on the development of competence, confidence, connection, character, caring and contribution in young girls. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and a celebratory 5K event.
