Transforming the Future of Finance with ATLAS Fellows

All students deserve the opportunity to pursue their ambitions, no matter their background. That’s why we’re proud to partner with ATLAS and support their mission to open doors for students of underrepresented backgrounds who want to pursue a career in finance and, ultimately, transform the financial services industry.

The organization’s ATLAS Fellows program is training the future leaders of the financial services industry. Founded in 2021 and incubated at Balyasny Asset Management (BAM), the program provides students with the financial and professional support they need to turn their career aspirations into reality. Fellows receive up to $20,000 annually in financial aid for college, four years of paid, full-time summer internships at premier financial institutions, and a matched mentor.

The first cohort of ATLAS Fellows began the program in summer 2021. Baird was proud to host a member of the inaugural cohort for a summer internship. See what Brian shared about his internship with our Chicago equity research team. Most recently, our New York City office had the opportunity to host a small group of ATLAS Fellows for an informational day. The students visited our offices for an introduction to Baird, informational 1-1 meetings with our sales & trading team, and a lively panel discussion about preparing for careers in financial services. Our team looks forward to hosting additional informational day events in our Chicago and New York offices. We will also welcome an ATLAS Fellow in summer 2023.
