Baird Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
Firm
Baird is proud to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, which recognizes the cultures, histories and contributions of individuals with ancestry in Spain and Latin America. We salute their achievements and influence on our society.
Our Prism Associate Resource Group developed a series of exciting events to allow all Baird associates to come together to celebrate the month. Working with groups across the firm, Prism assembled a team of all levels of seniority, with interns and senior-level associates playing an active role in developing the events. Prism, which champions multicultural diversity across Baird, is associate-led and plays a key role in helping Baird foster an inclusive culture for our clients and associates.
“As we started to work together and brainstorm the celebration, we knew we wanted to create spaces for all Baird associates to learn about and honor the significant impact and presence Hispanic people have in our world,” said Claudia Keller, Human Resources Business Advisor, who helped lead the Prism efforts. “We’re excited to come together and share these experiences.”
Throughout National Hispanic Heritage Month, Baird associates will have the opportunity to view a virtual cooking class on Hispanic cuisines recorded by several colleagues; enjoy a discussion with Lili Gil Valletta, an accomplished businesswoman and expert on cultural intelligence; and take part in a panel discussion with colleagues who will share their reflections on their Hispanic heritage. The panelists will include associates from across our Public Finance, Private Wealth Management, Global Investment Banking, Baird Advisors and Human Resources teams.
