Building Future Leaders
Heron, Selam and Julie, Rainier Scholars and former Baird interns
Baird is proud to be a long-time partner of Rainier Scholars, a Seattle-based nonprofit that offers a pathway to college graduation for low-income students of color by providing access to transformative educational opportunities. Rainier Scholars engage in a 12-year model that brings together the academic preparation, leadership development and personalized support they need to graduate from a four-year college and become career professionals and leaders in the community.
"We are passionate about creating a more diverse and inclusive environment throughout our organization. We believe strongly in Rainier Scholars and their drive to prepare their students for future success. Our experience with Rainier Scholar interns has enriched the lives of our colleagues and attracted future minority professionals to our industry," said John Ramseyer, Market Director at Baird. In 2019 and 2020, our Seattle office provided five summer internships to Rainier Scholars.
