Baird Capital Partners with Texas Medical Center to Drive Innovation

Houston, August 23, 2018 – Baird Capital, the direct private investment arm of Baird – an employee-owned wealth management, capital markets, asset management and private equity firm – announced today that it has formed a strategic partnership with the Texas Medical Center (TMC), a world leader in collaborative medicine and research.

The Baird Capital-TMC partnership is significant as it brings deep venture expertise in healthcare and technology as well as access to capital to Houston. The unique collaboration will be designed to fuel an infusion of "growth" venture capital into the Texas Medical Center’s burgeoning entrepreneurial ecosystem. Growth equity is essential for companies in order to achieve critical regulatory and market milestones.
