Baird Adds The Smith Group to Charlotte Wealth Management Office

Charlotte, N.C. – Aug. 6, 2018 –Baird, an international, employee-owned wealth management, capital markets, private equity and asset management firm, announced today that it has added The Smith Group. The team is led by veteran Financial Advisor H.B. Smith, CIMA, Managing Director. He is joined by Assistant Financial Advisor Daniel Bryant, AAMS. The team will work from Baird's Charlotte wealth management office located at 4350 Congress Street, Suite 400.

Smith brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to Baird. He graduated with his Master of Business Administration degree from Virginia Tech and earned a Physics degree from the U.S. Naval Academy. During his time in the Navy, Smith served as a Nuclear Engineer and Submarine Officer in the Pacific Fleet. Active in the community, Smith participates as a guest lecturer for several organizations, served as President of the Board of Directors for the Carolina Computer Access Center, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Veterans Bridge Home in support of veterans. Smith currently resides in Charlotte with his wife and their three children.
