Bryan joined Baird as a Managing Director in 2019 and has 20+ years of experience. He most recently served as the sole negotiated underwriter and head of fixed income analytics at Hutchinson, Shockey, Erley & Co/Huntington Securities. He currently leads all negotiated infrastructure transactions across the country and all underwritings for Illinois, North Carolina, Indiana, Missouri and Texas as well as issuers in the Northeast, Northwest, and Southeast. He also is the lead underwriter for Baird’s Higher Education and Federal Lease groups. Bryan has helped incorporate the use of technology to better identify pricing levels and further enhance the efficiency of information across the team of Bankers and underwriters. Additionally, Bryan is well versed in the intricacies of the municipal market as well as its relationship with the macro-economic environment, which is shared internally among Baird’s various Public Finance groups.
Bryan is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry conferences along with his participation as a lecturer for the Chicago Municipal Bond Club. He has contributed his voice to many discussions about the Municipal Market as well as the effects of policy on the marketplace at forums organized by the likes of the Michigan GFOA, BDA, IL Association of Park Districts and others. Bryan also is a recognized voice in the industry and has been quoted by both the Bond Buyer and Bloomberg for his insights on the Municipal Marketplace.
He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from The George Washington University in Washington D.C. and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Bryan has also previously sat on the Financial Advisory Committee for his local school district, helping them navigate the many different voices of the community so that the district could meet their financial needs/goals.
