Professional Experience & Education  

Smith first joined Baird in 2015 and subsequently rejoined Baird in 2022 following his time as a Vice President in Jefferies’ Tech Enabled Services group. He brings more than 10 years of investment banking experience advising clients on a wide range of M&A and capital raising transactions involving financial sponsor-owned, privately held and publicly traded companies.  

Smith graduated, with distinction, from the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
