Professional Experience & Education

Prior to joining Baird in 2022, Matt was a Managing Director in the technology practice at Oppenheimer, where he executed transactions across the software sector. Matt also worked at Deutsche Bank, where he was Global Head of the Technology Services Practice, the technology group at Credit Suisse First Boston and Salomon Smith Barney. Matt began his career at Hambros Bank in London.  

Matt has over 25 years of experience as a technology banker and has worked with clients across the broader Technology sector, including enterprise, communications, infrastructure and security software, as well as IT services and Business Process Outsourcing. Matt has advised on a wide range of M&A, strategic advisory and capital raising transactions for public and private companies, financial sponsors and VCs.

Matt received an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Vermont.
