Professional Experience & Education

Alex joined Baird in 2022 from Goldman Sachs where he was a Managing Director and Head of Goldman’s Secondary Market Advisory team. Alex has over 20 years of investment banking experience, primarily advising financial sponsor clients on single and multi-asset continuation funds, tender offers, equity strip sales and other GP-initiated transaction structures.

Before Goldman Sachs, he was a Managing Director at Lazard Freres & Co. in the Private Capital Advisory business where he specialized on GP-initiated transactions. He also served as the Chief Operating Officer of the business unit. Earlier in his career Alex held advisory roles in Credit Suisse’s Private Equity Group and the Bank of New York’s M&A Group.

Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Vanderbilt University.
