Baird has served as municipal advisor to Deerfield Park District since 2012, including the District’s most recent issuance of $4,995,000 General Obligation Limited Tax Park Bonds, Series 2022. We assisted the District in financing $5 million of various park improvements including: (i) a new playground, nature area and concert area at Jewett Park; (ii) new pickleball courts and ballfields at Shepard Park; and (iii) facility renovations including interior renovations at the Sachs Recreation Center and Jewett Park Community Center and exterior renovations at the Deerfield Golf Club.

In 2021, the District issued a municipal advisor RFP in order to ascertain the most qualified candidate for the role. Baird competed against two other firms and was retained as municipal advisor. Since 2012, we have assisted the District in three bond transactions for a total par amount of approximately $9.5 million.
