Our corporate credit capabilities consist of two specialized teams: investment grade and high-yield/distressed credits.

Deep Sector Expertise

We deploy a client-focused approach, representing only our clients’ interests. Our investment grade team is comprised of traders with diverse yet rich expertise in their respective sectors. Notably, our leadership in Equipment Trust Certificates (EETC) signifies our ability to articulate the nuances of the product, create liquidity, provide analytical expertise backed by robust and specialized trading and make firm bids to our clients every day.

Post-financial crisis, many firms changed their fixed income models, cutting core product-lines such as high-yield. Instead, Baird adapted by adding a specialized team of professionals in 2013, bringing the high-yield bond business to our platform. The team specializes in high-yield, distressed, crossover (5Bs) and convertible bonds. In 2023, we added leveraged loans to build out the product line further to better fit the growing needs of our clients.

Analytical Coverage

Our corporate credit team has analysts dedicated to each respective area. Our investment grade team provides corporate bond market commentary at macro, sector, issuer and the individual bond level. Our high-yield/distressed team has dedicated analysts covering various sectors, with emphasis on delivering quality, unbiased ideas and analysis to our clients.
